Do you give the "homeless'' change,etc?

Some are liars about their situation.

sometimes if i have a doggy bag i will give them that.  i used to make piles of money and wouldnt mind giving a dollar, or when i was a waitress i would give out my spare change.  but now im penny pinching and honestly dont have anything to spare.

you can usually tell whether people are really homeless.

usually have all their belongings in a plastic bags or garbage bags.

if they have beer bottles or smell like drug, its better not to give them money but if they're crippled and old it wouldn't harm your karma.

I give them change, you never know, we could be in that situation where we need strangers to help us out.

This is going to be a surprise to some, but yes I do.  Every time I get the chance.  It's what I was raised to do.  If they're lying, that's not my problem.

Some do make a living at panhandling.  But they are still less fortunate I believe.

Sometimes I'll give them my take out dinner. That way they can't buy booze but do get something to eat.

i honestly do consider and take pity on their unfortunate positions. however, it's another story if they're homeless due to stupid spending or a wasted lifestyle such as drinking away their savings

No change, but I carry water bottles and raisins and trail mix in my car.  I drive a lot for work, often in not so great areas, so I hand them out whenever I see someone who appears to be in need.  After all, it is hot out here, water is a necessity whether they are really homeless or not.

I have because ultimately, it doesn't matter to me if they're lying or not. I'm gonna come out and say that I doubt I'd ever give away tens of thousands of dollars, but if someone is asking for my help, and I'm in a position to do something, I do.

yes i do. i'm a strong believer in karma. i gave a homeless guy 5 dollars and was walking home and found 10 dollars balled up on the ground.

No kidding. I was on the subway and this guy looked all dirty and smelly and stuff with a cup people were giving him money and I am studying him as he edges closer, I looked down at his feet and noticed that he had the newest pair of jordans. I knew he punched out at five. There are some though that will ask for food and this request I can never deny. I will buy it for them. I am generous and giving and bohemian but not totally ret arded.lol. I am a good reader of people. usually.
