  1. No need to give a tip....the reason is because in those places usually (Not always) the waiter who serves me and takes my plates is not always the same person, sometimes it can be 2, 3 or even 4 different people working quickly to keep the tables clear...Do you really want that last buster to get all your money when they probbly just clocked into work while the other busters have been working the past 8 hours? If you do want to tip them, I suggest going right up to the buster and not leaving the money on the table....Its only fair that the right person gets the tips owed to them. Dont leave the money on the table when you leave if you do want to tip at a buffet, but other than that, no tip is needed in these buffets, its not like they will spit in your food for you giving them a bad tip (Like in resturaunts that are not buffet style eating have done).....Or better still, even a simple Thank you will surfice in a buffet.

  2. Even at a buffet, a waitress or waiter still has to do some type of service for the customer..

(bring your beverage, keep it refilled, bring you extra napkins, take away dishes, etc)

My tip depends on the kind of treatment & service I get.

  3. No because they're usually women and I don't like women. If it is a waiter I will tip, if it is a waitress she should learn to smoke pole and find a boyfriend to buy things for her; what need should she have for money ?

  4. Yes, they refill & clear. Give them a coupla bucks.

  5. I do if they give good service as far as refilling drinks and clearing plates. Not as much as at a full service restaurant.

  6. I usually drop a couple of dollars on the table because they DO bring drinks and take away the dirty dishes.

  7. Although no tip is needed at a buffet it is a courtesy to leave at least a 10% tip for the servers at a buffet.  They have bussed your tables, refilled drinks, been able to  answer any questions that you might have had.  It does nt need to be lavish since you did most of the serving yourself.

  8. yes-they make minimum wage and are hoping for tips in order to supplement their income.  If they are pleasant and clean your table of extra plates, used utensils, fill your drinks and let you enjoy your food-then definitely yes.  If they ignore you and don't treat you with courtesy, then no.  Totally a personal choice though.

  9. Of course. Waitressing is a tipped job. I leave at least 20% at regular restaurants and 15% at buffets. If you don't like it, go to McDonald's or something.

  10. i do.  usually bc they are bussing my table and filling my drinks for me.  im sure they are making minimum wage(around here its $5.25) so i usually leave     3-5 bucks depending on how often they were around for me. or whatnot....

  11. No. i think tipping some workers is wrong towards others. Most of minimum paid factory workers in humiliating jobs dont even know how to spell word tip, not to mention they have seen one. still they work as hard as miniskirt woman on fine restaurant, most likely more.

  12. yes, they are recieving less than minimum wage, the tips the waitress earns compensates the difference for the very low salary they are working so hard for. try 2.13 an hour.

  13. No, but I give hefty tips at full service establishments.

  14. No.  Any waiters/ waitresses in my area that work at buffets make minimum wage or well above.

  15. personally, i dont. I dont see the point since you get your own plates. I guess you could because they bring you drinks and take your plates away. Totally up to you though.

  16. Yes. If they are a good waitress, and keep my cup filled
