Do you gossip at your work?

I hate gossip.People tell me things I couldn't care less about,but i listen to be nice.I think they do it because they have nothing going on in their own lives!

You shouldn't gossip period. Gossip is messy and being messy only causes unnecessary problems. I work at home now but I did have an outside job for the last year and even though my coworkers weren't too bad, they did get in people's business from time to time. I hate to say it but there is something in us women that makes us nosy troublemakers.

If the gossip at work makes you uncomfortable then don't listen or tell your co-workers it does. When someone started to gossip around me at work, I'd walk away or I would tell them I didn't want to hear it. You can get in trouble by just listening because they could go back and say you said something then the entire thing's blamed on you.  Just don't listen to it at all. Stand your ground and besides that, you're at work so that's what you all should be doing in the first place.

It's interesting to hear a juicy story, but just in case it's BS its best not to repeat what youve heard because it may come back to bite you. Its just bad karma.

I hate gossip or news-monger people because most of time they don't tell the truth.

They just like to ruins peoples' lives.

I don't like gossip.  And a good way to stop it is to tell who ever is doing it, "That's all fine and good, but I think I will wait and hear that from 'so and so' when they want me to know."  I say it in a very casual way, not mean or terse -- but they get the point.

It has been my observation that people who gossip are extremely competitive, rude, meddling, nosy and self-righteous.
