Lakers is a strong contender next season, and so is the Hornets. And I expect both of them to improve, giving no injury occurs.

Here is why I excluded LeBrick and K.G:

Even with Mo Williams the Cavs will have a hard time with the newly improved 76ers and Raptors competing, not to mention the Celtics and Pistons. So if the Cavs slip under the 4th seed, LeBron won't win MVP.

K.G, well since Pierce faked his way to the MVP stage of the Finals, K.G will have to put up some serious stat in order to get some MVP votes.

  1. Kobe ,CP3 or maybe KG. Would be a good guess.

I've read some questions with people thinking Amare would win it!!What a joke!!

  2. Whats up MC

Yes I do but I also see Amare Stoudemire being in the MVP mix this season.

MC what you think about Amare Stoudemire?

    Good Luck

  3. Tim Duncan.

  4. i see one between wade and someone else. the way that kobe and cp3 played in the olympics was like they werent even there. but the healthy wade owned.

  5. No. Kobe's out of the question this year. It will be LeBron and........... LeBron!

  6. Well great year for KB8 and CP3 but 2008-2009 season will belong to D-Wade, Tracy McGrady and Elton Brand

    My Prediction is

    MVP - Wade

    ROY - Oden

    DPY - Brand

    All NBA

    Howard

    Brand

    James

    McGrady

    Wade

  7. I think this is completely possible. Kobe for me is the MVP favorite starting the year. If he can repeat the leadership and stats he showed last year he should be able to rack up another mvp. The Lakers are going to win the west barring any major injuries so he could do a back to back like Nash. On the other hand Paul is unreal, he has a summer of playing with the best players in the world and under the tutelage of J-Kidd so he should be even better. Lebron is another possibility as is Garnett but the other name I want to throw in as a dark horse is Dwayne Wade. If the heat improve alot and make the playoffs with a .500 win avg (which with marion, beasley is always a possibility in the east) Wade could be the MVP.

To sum up I can see another close race between Kobe and Paul as a real possibility.

  8. If Kobe plays the way he did in the Olympics, just taking difficult shots for the h**l of taking difficult shots, he's good enough he'll make alot of the shots, but it won't give him an MVP like season. I can see Chris Paul, especially if he puts up similar stats as last year, and I'd put Wade up there too. I think he was the best player for Team USA, and never seemed to make any stupid plays. Now that he's healthy, I think he'll have the best year of his career. I can see him pushing 30 ppg even with Marion and Beasley on the roster.

  9. KG and Pierce won't win MVP thats just not gonna happen. Lebron would be the best MVP candidate cause of stats and all around greatness but I also don't see him winin it cause I predict someone on the west will take it home. That pretty much leaves Kobe and CP3.......CP3 had one amazing year but I wanna see him repeat (which he most likely will). Kobe will be Kobe and be fantastic. For most of the season it will be between them, considering they will probably be the best in the west. And all the haters will be surprised when they see Amare in the MVP candidates at number 4 or 3.....it will happen.

  10. I think Dwade or Melo may have a good season this time.

Melo or A.I are going to have to sep up with this crappy team they have.

Dwade looks like the next jordan except a little bit less.

Kobe will have another regular season, CP3 will play the same for a while

  11. This is going to sound retarded, but I think that D-Wade and T-Mac will be battling it out for MVP, BTW I'm being serious!

-T-MAC, will have the "KG" effect in his favor, Stats drop, but his team is good and all of a sudden he is a contender for the MVP. Artest and Battier will some how make T-Mac's defense appear better.

-D-Wade, has low expectations, the heat won 15 games last season...Shawn Marion,Beasley,Haslem etc... will make him appear better.

-Kobe and CP3, have to high expectations. If CP3 couldn't win it last year when his team wasn't even picked to make the playoffs, this year his chances are even lower, because expectations are high in N.O.

  12. Kobe, Chris Paul, and D.Wade
