Do you guys think a world without ignorance would be efficient?

I was thinking about ignorance, about people that don't know how to use technology and things like that. We all make fun of someone ignorant sometimes. But we also forget that most of those people do things that we don't do. For example: maids clean the houses of rich people that don't have time to organize them. What would those rich people do if ignorance didn't exist? But then I think, "there would be more robots(to replace humans) invented due to more heads working together." Another example can be businesses. Most businesses are successful because of ignorance. People consume things without knowing what they are buying. Companies take advantage of these people by selling things at higher prices when they are of cheap quality.

I don't know. It's just an idea. We all know that a world without ignorance is a dream. My point is whether this world would be more efficient without ignorance. If it would bring more good than bad.

What is your point of view?

  1. Everyone is ignorant in things that they are not familiar with. Being a maid doesn't make you ignorant, not knowing the computer doesn't make you ignorant, consuming things that you don't know what you're buying? h**l, the smartest person in the world can go to the finest restaurant in the world and consume food there not knowing that a rat just ran across it.

I don't know anything much about the computer, my kids had to set up my mypspace account for me! But I am far from ignorant...believe me. I just wasn't brought up with a computer, and didn't even get on one until 2000 (I'm 45). Knowledge comes from learning, and life experiences. There are people out there who are just stupid and that's just their mentality, but otherwise, just because you don't know something doesn't make you ignorant. Not everyone can know everything about everything, and if they did, I think it would make the world worse. No teachers needed. No jobs available, etc...

No, the world is better with people doing what they know and do best.

    Best Wishes
