Do you guys think it's funny that John Edwards announced he had an affair today, because....?

what a coincidence that he annouced it today the same day that the olympics started...do you think he planned on announcing today, that way the nation would'nt be so focused on him due to the olympic and opening ceremony an all.... same thing for the russians they're fighting a war on the same day the olympics started....seems like everyone was waiting for this day so the focus wouldnt be on them.

  1. 1.  There's nothing funny about adultery.

    2.  There's nothing funny about Edwards.

    3.  Of COURSE he announced it today to take the attention off himself.


  2. If he did its not working. Ive been trying to get info on the conflict in between Russia and Georgia so im flipping back and fourth in between all the major news networks and all of them are giving "Breaking News" constant coverage of John Edwards affair. Barely mentioning anything regarding the conflict-which i feel is a much more important issue that they should be covering.  

  3. I'm pretty sure of it.

    And the sad part is that the media still focuses on s*x scandals over any other important event.

    We could be going into WW3, but the media would still be too worried about talking about Edwards and his affair for hours.

    Who cares?  At least he came up front, was honest, and admitted it.  Better than what Clinton did... he lied during oath.

    And now the sad part is that he's going to be condemned for it.  Everybody makes mistakes and does bad things in their life at some point -- be deal, we're human!  Why don't people simply say "Okay, that's good that he was at least honest so that shows he has good integrity".  

    But no, people are still going to be on there criticizing the situation as if it will make anything better.

    Leave him be... it's his own personal issues.  If the media didn't deal with the personal lives of celebrities, then people like Princess Diana would still be living.
