Garnett was one of the first choices for team USA and he said he didn't want to play for the national team again.  So, if he didn't want to play then I say no.  The Booz wants to be there, he's been to the camp, live with what you've got.  Besides, at this point, the team has been named and the only way you can get a replacement is if the IOC approves, which they would never do for USA Basketball.

Yeah I definitely think Boozer can be replaced. He seems to be the weakest link. I would agree that Garnett would be an awesome replacemnt considering his versatility to score and unique leadership skills. However, with an eye out for future competition I would put in Amare Stoudamire. He is definitely a physical presence in the post and can certainly handle the score load. He is also very young, and despite big ego, his talents offsets it. I would definitely have voted in Stoudamire for his strength and youth. Boozer should just head to the next local pub and drink. Drink booze and enjoy watching the American Domination like the rest of us.

What up Go Rockets,

Amare and Garnett both had their chances and the invite to team USA.  Amare pulled out a bit later- and Garnett could not commit -- so my thought is if they don't want to be there too bad... i definitely prefer KG over Boozer.  The international game requires a PF who can hit the jumper- so not sure i trust Amare's jumper and defense although he gives them some more on the offensive side- Boozer probably fits the international game better than Amare- but Garnett would be better than Boozer-- offensively and esp. defensively.
