Yes because they have to always sing in tune and always have a wide dynamic range.

I am a classical singer, but I believe there are, and have been, great singers in all genres. Ella Fitzgerald, Frank Sinatra, even Elvis were great singers!

Opera singers have to have BIG voices and years of training. I happen to like opera and sing along because I listen to that genre excessively.

That doesn't mean other singers are less good.
