I doubt that they will make it past the quarters to be honest. Alot of indiscipline in the past has shown that they give up crucial penalties at the worst times.

That and the fact that they don't play alot of 'hard grunt' football

I don't know how you can say that their group is a week group. The Aussies are a very strong team, Canada and Wales both have good teams. And Japan, well Japan really doesn't have much of a chance. Fiji should be able to beat Japan, but are going to have a hard time with the rest...if they can beat either Canada or Wales or both then they have a great chance. But to beat those teams they have to not have any mistakes. But if you think Fiji will beat the Aussies you are in for a rude awakening...the Aussies are a lock for the next round.

The way things are going now, (and it probably won't improve), Fiji is set to loose all its pool matches. I see a huge beating by Australia and Wales. There might be a chance Fiji will beat Japan, but only a slim chance.

Nevertheless, its too late for Fiji now. They should use this world cup as a stepping stone for the 2011 New Zealand event...

No, because they only have the potential to win the 7's WC. They naturally have the talent to play for 7's, but not 15's.

they shud b able to make quaterfinals becuase they are in a weak group but they need to improve in all areas of the game to be competitive which i dont see happening because of the coach and the way hes prepared for it especially if he takes alot of the players that are playing in fiji becuase not to diss them bt the level of rugby sub-standard with the competition and level that the overseas-based players are playing in. .. sure they got attcking weapons in the backs but they dont have the forward pack to establish the platform to attack from.. also they will struggle to counterattack from broken play against more structured teams like france australia n englang not to mention the all blacks...

edit - if u read my answer all the way through u'l see that i mentioned that they would struggle against more structured teams like austrailia.. i ment weak compared to samoas pool who have both england and South Africa .. had samoa been in fijis pool it would of been interesting because i believe that samoa is a best pacific island team because they have a more intelligent coach who been prepared his team better and if you rememba that in the last world cup they came within 10mins of beating england.. umm fiji has no chance to beat austrailia or wales but they also have the best shot at making the quaterfinals
