  1. yh im not a haggler either but wot i allways do is shop around cause u will b surprised at wot some people might do it for good luck x

  2. Dont get done, get dom.

awesome program about bartering (haggling), try search it and see if you can watch any online :)

You cant have someone tell you how, unless they're with you to tell you word-by-word

you've gotta be smooth and sly about it.

Im 18 and ive done it loads :)

Its how ive been brought up, to get the best of things.

    lol.. embarrassing huh? :s

  3. The best and easiest way to haggle is to always start with what is your best price for cash? A long time ago it was easier but these days it is only ever really achieved with independent people, never major retail chain stores. I would suggest you could get it for £1000. As long as you can take a lil blushing just say you have had a quote for £850 and they will see what they can do to beat it. The likelihood is you will get it for a grand if you say you have another quote.

Good luck and let us know how you get on

  4. Firstly, you should really define what you mean by haggle as haggling can mean different to different people.  The nature of haggling can be considered a moot point as some say that it is neither good nor bad to haggle but all of this is predicated upon what your definition of “is” is when examining if it is good to haggle.  Do you really want to delve deeper into the art of haggling?  If you do there could be many unforeseen costs associated with this such as time, money and energy.

  5. Yes I haggle, that's how the market works. You will pay a price they will accept a price - you just need to find it. The price on the item is just a guide, you go in and say I will give you X for it, eventually you will meet somewhere in the middle

Don't be afraid to walk away if they won't deal

Start by saying 'in not prepared to pay 1150 for it, not in today's economic cliamate, if that's your last offer then I will have to say no', they will ask what you are looking for and you say "I was willing to apy around 899' carry on this way until you agree 950
