  1. well i glad im getting older and i love my b-day but im scared when i get 70 and up cause of death....scared of dying

  2. Certainly a lot of people do fear the aging proess, which I guess is understandable given the youth-centric culture we live in.  But honestly, it doesn't bother me a bit.  In fact, I'm enjoying getting older, and try to take the "bumps in the road" in stride (example - I always make noise when I move now - bones popping a cracking- lol!)

Seriously, you couldn't pay me to be 20 again.  No way!

  3. It is a part of life :) So I am happy to get older.

  4. I'm only 22 and sometimes, I worry about getting older but i have a lot to look foward to..like getting married, having kids etc.

Live every day to it's fullest.

  5. I think when people hate getting older, it's more of regret that they didn't do what they wanted to get done in the younger years, or fear of what's gonna happen later on. I know I've had times when I say "I don't want my birthday to come, I want to be this age for longer" and then I find it's because life is cocomfortableow it is and I just don't want getting older have a chance of messing it up. And, time seems like it's flying sooo fast and it feels any day now, I'll be 40 with children and a job and I want to enjoy being young longer and not feel like it's wizzing by. But then, there a lot of things that getting older adds to life that i can't wait for!

  6. I like to think of it as maturing, not aging. Besides, the alternative of growing older is being dead. I will take old!  :)

  7. At 25 going on 26, evvery year I am not in a real and successful career is seriously worrying me. With each passing relationship, I feel like I am drifting further from my childhood and yet not into adulthood.

If I am still financially unstable and without any kind of real relationship at 30, I will also feel the pressure of age on top of everything else.

Yes I think about it! Yes I worry! Yes I am terrified that I am going to wake up at 40 and realize that my life has amounted to nothing because my work and efforts in youth have amounted to nothing!

I am afraid of finally discovering my purpose and my talent and me greatest oppertunities in this world when I have diabetes and arthritis and alzheimers!

But I can do nothing but keep trying and keep working. Like Tom Petty said, "Most things I worry about never happen anyway."

Only on my birthdays does it really bother me, but I celebrate them when I can anyway.

  8. No, I LOVE getting older! It's getting OLD that I don't like... be thankful for the 'little' favors. The alternative to getting older is death, so be thankful you are still here to gripe about whatever. I'm 82 & I do have my troubles; the aches are a reminder of a good hard-working Life & i'm very pleased to be here to yipe.

Keep active & you will feel younger. Don't sit around too much. Walk everyday for 20 minutes, if nothing else. Listen to the birds, smell the roses, listen to a waterfall, good music. Watch the sun rise & enjoy the magic of the moonrise. Find ways to help others; helps you forget your own troubles. LIVE LIFE! Good luck. :)
