Do you hate the forced small talk that you have to do at work?

I don't like small talk either. I'm very shy, and if I'm with more than 2  or 3 other people I get overwhelmed. I'm pretty good one on one.

Try talking about things other than yourself, if that bothers you. Maybe you can discuss something interesting in the news, or a TV show or movie.

I love talking.  It is fun to talk to people.  The point of small talk is to get comfortable with other people to promote your social skills.

I hate all forms of small talk, forced or otherwise.

Talking about personal business, on the other hand, is something that i consider to be entirely pertinent and i happen to think people should be willing to talk about private matters more often.

One can only wonder as to the reasons why a person would hesitate.
