Do you hate working fast food???!?

Question

I hate being overworked and underpaid, how there's no air conditioning, how I sweat out my clothes every day, how management hires people, but doesn't develop and train them, how I do the duties my leads are supposed to do because they're taking care of the supervisor's duties. (supervisor is lazy...) I hate having to train new people every day, only to see them gone within a week. =/ I'm gonna work at this fast food restaurant the rest of the year, for experience so I can get a better job. Any encouragement...Anyone?!

It is not that bad just some managers can be a******s and there is nothing we can do about it because we are just the employee and talking **** to the or about the manager can get us into some deep trouble. I'm doing what your doing i'm getting some experience here and then seeing where i can go from there. It is a good starter job but nothing long term.

my first job was at mcdonalds and i now work at a hospital. 2 years later. i miss working there, i had fun. and i did not mind staying late. now i think about it and i say i would like to go back as a part time job, because it was fun! but pay-not that well.

i worked at jack in the box for two years. i had a love/hate relationship with it. i hated it when i worked with people i wasnt close with or just flat out rude people. i loved it when i worked with my friends. which twords the end i was really close with everyone.

i worked night crew my last year, and i loved it because most of the time it wasnt that busy. which is less stress. excpet for friday nights that suckkkkkkkkkked.

Encouragement? Ive worked at the McD's in a tiny little town for almost two years now, and the only encouragement I could give you is FIND ANOTHER JOB BEFORE THIS ONE SUCKS YOU DOWN! I was only supposed to work there for three months, so my sister could get a bonus for referring me to work there, then six so she could get another one.. and then that turned into what feels like forever. It is always hot in the grill, and they are taking forever to get me the shorts I ordered, and have to pay for myself! Where in the h*ll else am I going to wear McShorts? *rolls eyes* I am a crew trainer at this store because the owner is too cheap to give all his employees free food on their breaks, they only get $4 worth of free food and the nuggets alone cost $4.15 + tax! I have trained someone for a week who just looked at me with a vacant stare every time I asked him if he understood what I just told him. OMG, and with the snack wraps!! We have to ask if they want crispy or grilled chicken, and they reply "Chicken" or "Yes." Same thing with the salads. My favourite thing to hear in drive thru is someone orders a "Big Mac To Go" like everyone else is going to sit in drive thru and eat, but they would like to take their particular order "to go." Duh. Drive Thru = Get Outta My Face. bah....

no encouragement, just be brave and stick it out. lol. at least your restaurant is busy. i sit on my *** all day because the competition is stealing all our business. bored. bored. BORING. it sounds awesome not having to do anything but it's really not. and i come home smelling like pepperoni pizza everyday. and the air conditioner is always on so im sick every week. i hate it. but i can't find another job and this job is so slack i dont even care. lol.
