Like are they boring?

I hate it when all they talk about is mechanics and stupid stuff that no one cares about, especially when your sitting on a couch watching tv....its not baseball practice.

  1. I enjoy Bremer & Blylevin as well. They seem fair & balanced, plus Bert can be a riot. I've heard them many times complimenting opposing teams, and I don't hear that much with the White Sox & Brewers announcers. Plus (sorry Sox fans) they don't refer to the Twins as "good guys". That's just obnoxious IMO. What is this, Gotham City?

  2. Let's see Brewers I like Bob Uecker he's awesome he's an american icon here in Milwaukee and is to me like an old time announcer.  Like Harry Carry.  I would say for Wisconsin our radio announcers are better than the TV announcers.

  3. Harry Kalas is the best.

  4. Joe Buck annoys me; so does Joe Morgan.

Other than that I'm pretty much fine.

I personally like Tom Grieve and Josh Lewin for the Rangers. =)

They rarely go on and on about mechanics, don't complain about umps, and bring up funny little stories about the players.

  5. how can you say that you hate, or even dislike the men. You probably have never met them, let alone know them. Does Rex Hudler annoy me? Yes, he does on a daily basis.

  6. I prefer listening to the games on the radio.  I grew up listening to Harry Caray and Jack Buck broadcast Cardinals baseball. They were great.  You don't get good announcers like them any more.  Once this year the microphone for the TV announcers weren't working for about the first 2 innings.  All you heard was crowd noise and the PA announcer.  The was the best TV baseball I ever saw.

  7. Being a White Sox fan,I'm used to all the weird things Hawk and DJ say.Their pretty funny actually.A few days ago the White Sox (against the Mariners) couldn't turn a double play because Alexei Ramirez didn't step on the bag,but he did get the out at first. So in the 8th inning Hawk's all "I still can't believe he missed the bag earlier. That is a routine play and should be made with no excuses" and stuff. So he's gotta cut them some slack or something.Sometimes though i think he doesn't really know what he's talking about,or at least that what it seems like.

  8. Keith Hernandez and Ron darling were great players to watch, now they are great in the booth.

  9. no i like gary, keith, and ron for the mets. what is your team?

  10. The only person i HATE is that f*g Joe Buck.

  11. I have MLB.TV, so when the Cards are on the road I get those broadcasters. I don't like Mike Shannon (broadcaster for KSDK), but I'm fine with every other broadcaster.

  12. I absolutely LOVE the Mets announcers, gary cohen, keith hernandez and ron darling. There is no trio who can even come close to comparing, with gary's baseball knowledge, ron's intellect and keithe crazy antics- they by far are the best broadcast team in all of sports!

  13. I love listening to Kruk and Kuip. They are probably the most charismatic broadcasters in the MLB. And they when they explain mechanics/fundamentals, they make it seem fun, because they both are very smart about baseball

I absolutely hate the broadcasters tht state the obvious all the time, like Rex Hudler and Joe Morgan.

Oh ya, I also like Jon Miller cuz he's been around awhile and he's just got a voice for baseball on the radio/tv.

  14. I like all the Mets' announcers, especially Howie Rose on radio. He's baseballs' best play-by-play announcer on radio now...

  15. Heck no, that's half the reason I watch Diamondbacks games. Daren Sutton and Mark Grace are awesome announcers. Mark Grace is hilarious, and Darren Sutton knows what he is talking about. They have a huge fan base in AZ with the Diamondbacks. They are probably the most entertaining announcers I have ever heard.

CAR!!! (Dbacks fans will get it)

  16. No, we have Vin Scully.  I love listening to him.

  17. I dislike all the "homer" announcers out there and every team has them.  Just be objective, that is all I ask.

Try listening to Ron Santo (Cubs) sometime.  AWFUL!!

Then you get guys that you swear have had a few to many to drink and by the 7th inning they are slurring their words.  Mike Shannon (Cardinals) comes to mind.

  18. d**k Bremer and Bert Blyleven are great. I'm always bummed when they are blacked out

  19. Hawk and DJ are really bad.  That is why I listen to Steve Stone and Ed Farmer on the Radio while watching White Sox games.

--Steve Stone and Ed Farmer are really good actually.

  20. Marty Brennaman is a great broadcaster who cares and has the correct attitude these days with the losing team. But Jeff Brantley really gets on my nerves. Chris Welsh is very good in his analysis and is a good companion to George Grande on FSN. They are very good. Thom Brennaman still needs some time to get to the fans. Although he is the son of Marty, he is not Marty.

  21. I actually enjoy watching Jays games with Rance Mulliniks and Jamie Cambell broadcasting.

  22. Hawk Harrelson isn't boring, but he has become absolutely nauseating. I don't know what's happened to him, but he is very hard to listen to anymore. The contant, nonstop whining about the umpiring has got to stop.

  23. I love Vin Scully, but I hate the other announcers we've got. Especially Steve Lyons, that guy's an idiot!

  24. Mario Impemba and Rod Allen are the best!

  25. Well the Yankees have  michael kayand Ken Singleton and sometimes Al Leiter and John Flarety and Paul O"Neil

and michael kayis ANNOYING everyone else is cool

  26. Gary Cohen, Keith Hernandez, and Ron Darling are a GREAT team behind the mic for the Mets.  They're knowledgeable, insightful, and fun to listen to.  They also experiment a bit; occasionally, during blowout games, they'll actually take live phone calls to the booth.  Last night, Keith and Ron called the game from directly behind home plate, and a few weeks back, the team called the game from a makeshift booth in the upper deck at Shea.

And oh, when Ralph Kiner occasionally joins in, it's a real treat.  Those old stories!

And even on the radio, you can't go wrong!  This year, Wayne Hagin has joined Howie Rose.  Rose is a long-time favorite of New York sports fans, with a strong following among Mets, Islanders, and even Rangers fans (Matteau!  Matteau!  Matteau!!).

No matter which way you go, Mets fans are lucky folks...and you can put that in the books!

  27. i can't stand al leiter.he's an expert on all.when he pitched for the yankees he was a bum just like their current pitching coach dave eirland.

john flarety was a third string catcher at best.singelton belongs in balt.o'neil is the only one that belongs.i don't think micheal kay ever played.

  28. well i love listening to Gary Cohen, Ron darling, and Keith Hernandez

listening to them talk bout the proper mechanics and every thing

    just love it

    and i hate Micheal Kay

to life in his announcing he just sucks
