The folks on this site seek to understand and predict the physical and statistical behavior of these events.

There is now a recognition by the atmospheric science community that the links between weather and climate variability/change must be better understood. What do you think about the program and its potential to help deal with global climate change?

  1. That's a good idea.  The IPCC recently said that they're going to shift their focus to the impacts of global warming and what can be done to reduce greenhouse gas emissions.

I'm glad to see the focus shifting toward the effects of climate change so we can be better prepared for what's to come, and to help people understand the consequences of our actions.  So often we see people ask 'the planet is warming - so what?' or 'isn't warming a good thing?'.  These sorts of projects will help our overall understsanding of the effects of climate change.

  2. The word you're looking for is "CLUE", not sure what a CLEW is.
