i do have irish ancestors that were royalty they had there own castles that are still around today in ireland

depends on who you talk to in the family.

Alot of Americans claim to come from <insert country of origin here> royalty or be dukes etc...  but I read that when its tried to be proven most that claim to be find that they aren't even close...

my half great grandpa (my great grandmother brother) was a dutch baron(just like lord in U.K). he is member of dutch knight family. but,since he had no child so the clan extincted.

what funny is,almost the rest of my family has hazel or grey eyes.

he had green eyes,and suddenly this green eyes appear again on me although my parents are both brown.

i can trace my family back to Edward III of England and James IV of Scotland. cool stuff, eh? I can also trace my fam back to Francis Rodes (as my grandpa was born a Rodes, but later adopted and dropped the name) who was one of the 45 judges to sentence Mary, Queen of Scots to death.
