I see you need 3Mb/s to get the full resolution....bit more than I expected it to require.

  1. Hi Anyone Know? ,

I was under the impression it was much lower then that. I am considering getting one and 3Mb will not bother me but it would wash out most of their market.

Have you checked the Slingbox site. If I remember they would test your connection speed to see if it was adequate.

  2. I have a slingbox classic. It works great, I use Comcast as my isp with only 386k up speeds, and the video quality is great for watching TV. I would not want to watch HD on it, but its great for SD. I have also used my slingbox with a cellular broadband card, and the quality was great as well. So I would recommend it to anybody that can not do with out TV and has a great Internet connection at home and work.

  3. not really. i have a 700kbps upstream and using my works 14mbps or so connection and it plays okay. i only get the stream at 500kbps. picture quality is not that good, but im watching HD programming with my Slingbox AV which only supports SD.

at home i have the slingbox turbo link i get a connection averaging in the 4000kbps and its good.
