Can I go on Ebay and buy a Verison Phone then go to the company and switch my old phone to the new one I bought on Ebay?

My parents have a two year contract, and right now I have a razor phone.

yes, but my friend did that and the phone was broken and messed up and Verizon won't give you a new phone because you bought it from ebay.

yes my sister did that with her chocolate. I dont remember what they did to get everything on her new phone but just take it in to verizon and ask them if they can before you buy the phone.
