  1. I stay positive and look at life as a half filled glass....I believe that happy people live longer. Being bitter eats you up inside and causes physical problems like ulcers and stress related illnesses.

As you get older, I think you come to realize that every day is precious .

    Good question!

  2. Pretty much optimistic, but also realistic. I don't know what goes into making a bitter person, but suspect it may have something to do with the genes, and even more with the atmosphere in the home during childhood. Was the person led to expect that life would always give him/her everything on a plate, and then, of course, the realities hit him like a brick wall, or, maybe even more significant, was he/she constantly being criticized, sometimes unfairly, and very rarely being praised?

  3. If left to me, alone, I would probably be one of the most "down on life" people on the planet. But, I have God in my life, so it's all good! When I try to imagine my life without Him in it, it scares me to think of who I might have become. So, every day, I know that God is right there with me... and as they say, "If God is for you, who can be against you?". If that makes me an optimist... I'm good with that!

  4. I LOVE YOU PROFILE NAME! How original!

When I was young, I was the happiest little girl you ever saw. Even my mom told me that as a child, I was always happy and easy to raise. Everything made me happy. In all my photos taken of me as a child, I am either smiling or laughing in them.

However, I as I got older, my moods began to change dramatically. I would sink into depression so badly, and I would cry for hours at a time. After a long and painful decade in my 20's, I was diagnosed in my early 30's with Bipolar Disorder Type II*. I had all the symptoms and was hospitalized, medicated and treated right away. I am still taking medication (have to for the rest of my life), still seeing a psychiatrist, still have a mental health worker to discuss any issues that require consultation. Life for me is "tolerable".

I wouldn't say my attitude is bitter, however I desperately miss that carefree attitude I had when I was young. There are times when I feel better than others, but since I got sick from this illness, I've never really recovered from it.

  5. For the most part I am optimistic.  I wasn't always, but in the last couple of years I've learned that I, and only I, control my life and how I react to the things that happen to me.  I create my own circumstances and I choose to create a happy life.

  6. Optimists to me are just simple dimwitted clowns. The only people who seem to get ahead inlife are the ones who shouldn't,the idiots.I do believe that since most of the general public is a wee bit slow, they can realte better to the idiots and therefore offer them the best jobs, not to mention they have the numbers.

To summarize, you will generally get cornholed in life if you have any smarts or actual ability.
