Do you have a job where you are "on-call"?

And how many times has this messed with your life? I realize that I shouldn't plan important things when on-call, but sometimes the scheduling is not up to you and you have to take a chance...It happened AGAIN and I'm about ready to go work at freakin' office!

well i would say it sucks to be you.  I don't have a job being on call because that would just be g*y.

I feel your pain.  I had a job like that years ago.  Solution?  Get a job where you are not on-call.  Life is much better.

I was waiting to hear about jumping out of a perfectly good airplane.

If my customer has a breakdown on equipment, it just does not matter what I have going on if I want them to remain my customer.
