Do you have a leapster or leapster L Max system and if so...??

Has anyone out there ever tried playing an L MAX game on the original leapster?? I know you can play the leapster games on the Lmax system ( and everyone says they won't show up on tv but all my sons do) but can you downgrade and play the L max games on the leapster?? My mom has the original leapster for my little brother (2 yrs older than my son) and he would like to borrow one of my sons l max games and we aren't sure if it will work. He's an hour and a half away so I'd be mailing this to him and I'd hate for him to wait just to end up not having it work. Thanks in advance for all help offered !!!

My son has both.  The L Max games work in the older LeapSter system and the older LeapSter games work in the L Max.  But the older games won't show up on the tv.

From what I understand, they do not work on the old Leapster.
