  1. At the daycare I work at (with two-year-olds) we have large cards with the letter and an animal who has a name that starts with the same letter as what kind of animal they are... then a CD comes with it in which a song is played, going through the alphabet, making the sounds they make, and mentioning different things that also start with that letter. I wish I remembered the curriculum it's a part of... Abeka,  maybe?

That may be geared at too young an audience for a 5 yr old, though, I don't know.

  2. i lernt my alphabet with a song, as most children pick up things like that. there are also books and gave around that will help.

sorry i cant be more useful- but look around as there are many ways to help her learn

  3. The best program I have found is "Obvious Letters". I use it at my child care center and the children are reading by age 4. It works. The author also has a Math program. You can find the site by Googling Obvious Letters.

  4. I found a website I LOVE: starfall.com

Click on the first button: "ABCs" or something like that, and you can individually look at each letter, how it sounds, play games and learn what words start with that letter. It's great! My two year old knows almost all of his letters now! Just click on whatever is sparkling on the page : )

It's by far the best ABC website I've come across.
