Oh my gosh I surf and I love to listen to d**k Dale when im going to go surf. Its really awesome instrumental stuff. I also like Blindside (hardcore Christian rock).

I had one but the first time I took my ipod out Surfing it broke!!!  Who knew those babies weren't water proof.  They need to put that on the box.

hah, kidding...anyway, I guess it would have some Sublime, Pearl Jam, Slightly Stoopid, Ben Harper, Jack Johnson (pre-In Between Dreams of course), Pepper, Citizen Cope, OAR, stuff like that

and just whatever you like is cool I like metal (and basicly everything esle haha) and I surf haha

surfing kind of earthy so go with acoustic people like

john butler trio, jack jonhson, thomas cunningham & the loco focos

skateboarding was based around punk

black flag, JFA (big skateboarding group), rise against, NOFX, 36 crazyfists, ect.

and now skateboarding became a little more hip-hop but i don't know much about hip-hop

Artists like d**k Dale, Beach Boys, Surfaris, Jan and Dean, now artists like Aqua Velvets, Eliminators, Gary Hoey, and Common Sense are tops now. Gary Hoey had the sound track to the movie Endless Summer 2.

before surfing i usually listen to I wanna rock by twisted sister, or detroit rock city by kiss, it gets my veins pumpin and ready to charge, when i skate (longboard) I listen to reggae , like pato banton, peter tosh, the rockers soundtrack...just cruiseeee

I'm a surfer, so the music I listen to is anything that gets me stoked for a session.  It also depends on my mood.  Sometimes, if I'm going longboarding and I'm in a mellow mood, I like to listen to Jack Johnson, Matisyahu, G Love, Bob Marley and Ziggy Marley.  

When I'm just trying to get pumped I listen to Foo Fighters, Everclear,  Deftones, Incubus, etc...

When I want to get really pumped I listen to metal and punk such as Cannibal Corpes, Metallica(early days), Disturbed, Prong, Korn, Rage, s*x Pistols, Sublime( of course), Transplants, Rancid, and Social Distortion.

I could go on and on.

But my all time favorite song that gets me in the mood to surf is Santa Monica by Everclear.  That songs sums up everything I feel when I go surfing.

Oh, and for those that say they can't take their I Pods out surfing with them, check this out.  I have one for my I Pod Mini and it works extremely well.
