I must admit...

I do "Fireball", just out of habit & vindictiveness.

Any others???

  1. No.  An answer has to be really wrong or untruthful.

    Debbie

  2. Not until recently.  The arrogance of some of the members literally wiped the smile off my avatar's face.  For the sake of my own sanity, I just began "shooting" first.  Keeps my blood pressure at a healthful level, and my answers more focused! :)

Thanks for letting me vent!.... but not nice to do it at the expense of Fireball.

Edit: *Admits to using SOS on a perfectly good answer to this question*  ;-)

  3. Only if I find something I don't like in their post, I thumbs down it. Which happens often, I guess.

    I hardly ever report.

  4. Thumbs-down?

    Guilty. With an explanation.

I think if you give a thumbs-down, you should give your reason if you have the time. It's a shame when there are more thumbs than there are answers.

    Reports?

    NEVER! Without hesitation.

Freedom of speech. If you're that upset by the smell, get out of the kitchen.

BTW, Why are there sometimes more stars than there are answers?

  5. No, I always read the post in question, I generally don't even look at the names.  Shrug.  I also don't thumbs up/thumbs down based on my agreement with what was said, but rather with how well thought out the answer was... a short "me too" I agree with will get a thumbs down, but a thought out answer that I disagree with will get a thumbs up.  By focusing on the people rather than what they're actually saying you miss occasional valuable pieces of information and insight.

  6. No, I grudge no one.  Hopefully no one grudges me.  Peace is a good thing.

  7. Not yet. But give it time.

  8. no,

i can even thumb up people on my block list as they do occasionally make some good points

    i like fireball

i thumb her down a lot, but ive also thumbed her up

  9. I don't. I actually *read* Fireball's posts before I thumb-down them, but funny thing is, 99% of them genuinely do warrant a thumbs-down.

  10. No, I don't, and to be honest I often wonder about some of the thumbs-downs that I see.  At least you're honest in admitting that you give Fireball a thumbs-down on reflex, but sometimes it just doesn't make sense.  There was a question a couple of weeks ago, I don't even remember the question, but it was fairly benign, and Fireball's answer was a simple "Yes."  Yet she had 9 thumbs-downs when I answered the question.  I gave her a thumbs-up just to be nice.  Fireball doesn't hurt anyone, she just has her opinions, and she's entitled to them.  I seldom agree with her, but I say live and let live.

  11. Sess,

I personally do not feel any hatred for any member of any group.  I really do not agree with Fireball at times but I do have great respect for her opinion as I do yours and everyone elses on this site.  I am a Christian but I do not feel that anyone has a reason to push others to their personal conviction(s).  Have a great week.

    Thanks,

    Eds

  12. sometimes, when i come across some really stupid-mean comment, like from the peaceful religion people

i´ve learn to ignore Fireball..she is helpless

  13. This is an interesting question...

I have none that I would shoot on sight!

I try very hard not to give thumbs down!

  14. not really, i never give thumbs up or down anyone, neither report.. i am not a thumb down clown or report monkey

  15. No, I always give thumbs up or down to answers that I agree/disagree with. Fireball has given, say... .111 out of 10 good answers before, so when she does give the good ones I thumb her up, if it has anything to say about how arrogant some Christians can be, thumbs down it is. Same for some atheists too.

  16. I have to admit Chris gets on my nerves with that Jesus prayer he leaves on 95% of his posts.

  17. My policy is this:

I thumbs up people whose answers I agree with, or consider particularly witty.

I don't thumbs down anyone unless they're being abusive or inappropriate.

That is, I don't thumbs down people simply because I disagree with what they've said.

If someone is really being outrageous I'll report them. I'll also tell them, because I think it's fair they should know.

  18. No But 98% of the Jehovah's Witnesses do for me !

  19. Yeah, that Perry guy, or whatever he goes by now, PT 4 Jesus or something.  He's a hateful, one, that guy..

  20. No.  But I am on this list for many others.  Those who have not blocked me, that is.

  21. No, but to a fly on the wall it might seem that way because I do tend to disagree with the same people over and over again, rather adamantly I might add.
