  1. GARLIC CHEESE BREAD

    1 loaf French bread or leftover hamburger buns

    Butter

    Garlic powder

    Parmesan cheese

    Slice bread into 1-inch slices. Generously butter bread or buns on 1 side. Top with garlic powder. Sprinkle with Parmesan cheese. Place under broiler until golden brown.


  2. 2 French baguettes, cut into 3/4 inch diagonal slices

    1 large minced onion (optional)

    8 cloves minced garlic

    1/4 cup butter

    2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese

    1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese

    1 cup mayonnaise

    Preheat the broiler.

    Slice the French baguettes diagonally into 3/4 inch slices.

    In a medium skillet over medium heat, melt the butter. Combine the onions and garlic in the skillet. Cook and stir until tender. Set aside to cool.

    In a mixing bowl, combine the mozzarella cheese, Parmesan cheese and mayonnaise.

    On a cookie sheet, arrange the French bread slices in a single layer. Spread the onion and garlic mixture on the bread slices. Spread the cheese and mayonnaise mixture over the onion and garlic mixture on the bread slices. Broil about 5 minutes, until the cheese is bubbly and slightly browned. Serve immediately. serves 8.

  3. Cheesy Garlic Bread

    Mix together first 4 ingredients in a medium mixing bowl.

    1 1/2 cups mayonnaise

    1 cup shredded sharp cheese

    1/2 cup thinly sliced onion or one bunch of green onions chopped

    3 minced garlic cloves chopped or 1 T. minced garlic in the jar

    1 loaf French bread

    Cut French bread length ways, lay open. Spread mixture on each half of bread about 1/4 to 1/2 inch thick.  Sprinkle with Parmesan cheese. Wrap each half tightly in foil. Refrigerate for 1 to 2 hours. Bake at 400° for 10 minutes or until heated through. Remove bread from oven, place on a cutting board, remove from foil, slice bread into 2 inch pieces. Serve hot.  Freeze the foil wrapped bread up to 3 months and use at a later date. Bake in the foil at 400° for 20 to 25 minutes or until warm through.

  4. Why yes, yes I do.

    Get a loaf of italian bread, cut it in half both ways, you'll have four pieces.

    Stick 3tbsp of butter, a 1 tbsp of diced garlic, 1 pinch of dried parsley and 1/2 tsp of olive oil into a food processor or blender, blitz it until the ingredients are mixed well.

    Spread mixture onto the bread, evenly distributing the butter.

    Top with more parsley for color.

    Generously shake grated Parmesan cheese onto the top of it.

    Bake at 350 until the crust of the bread gets crispy.  Put it on broil until the cheese browns

    Serve.

  5. Homemade garlic-cheese bread:

    1 cube real butter

    3-4 cloves garlic, minced

    extra sharp cheddar cheese or

    shredded parmesan cheese (found by the deli)

    Saute together garlic and butter about 5 minutes.

    Spread on fresh sliced french bread with a pastry brush. Heat under the broiler until light brown. Add cheese to each piece. Reheat just until cheese is melted, but not brown. Yummy!!

    6 cups Parmesan -- grate

    1 cup Dried oregano

    1 cup Dried parsley flakese

    3 cups Butter or margarine -- soft

    12 Cl garlic -- mince

    3 cups Vegetable oil

    18 Loaves French bread -- 1/2" sl

    18 pounds Mozzarella -- shred

    Combine parmesan, oregano and parsely; mix well and set aside. In a large

    mixing bowl, beat butter and garlic. Gradually beat in oil until smooth. Spread

    over 1 side of bread. Place with buttered side up in greased large shallow

    baking pans. Top each slice with 1/4 c mozzarella. Sprinkle with parmesan

    mixture. Bake at 400~ for 10 to 12 minutes or until the cheese is melted and

    top is lightly browned

  6. Cheesy Garlic Bread

    INGREDIENTS

    1/4 cup extra-virgin olive oil

    1 garlic head

    5 tablespoons unsalted butter, softened

    3/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese

    2 tablespoons grated Pecorino Romano cheese

    1 tablespoon chopped thyme leaves

    1 teaspoon salt

    1/4 teaspoon freshly ground pepper

    1/2 teaspoon paprika

    1/4 teaspoon red pepper flakes, optional

    1 loaf store-bought or homemade rustic country bread cut into 1/2-inch slices

    Preheat oven to 400°. Using about 1 teaspoon olive oil, brush garlic head. Wrap garlic in foil and roast until very tender, about 50 minutes. Remove from oven and when cool enough to handle, cut off top and squeeze roasted garlic from skin into a medium bowl.

    Add remaining ingredients except bread. Mix well. Spread mixture onto each slice of bread, reserving about 1/4 cup. Wrap bread in foil, with foil seam on top. Bake about 20 minutes. Carefully open seam of foil completely. Brush bread with remaining 1/4 cup garlic mixture and continue cooking on foil until golden brown and crispy, about 12 minutes. Serve hot.
