  1. I do have self respect for myself. I have rules too, but not too many I don't believe in too many rules you have to be reasonably flexible, its not a bad thing to have high morals (I don't mean ridiculously high) and standards. I think it's important people are taught that the only person you can rely on is yourself, because in the end that's all you got really. It's important to make yourself feel good then it rubs off on others.

That means letting yourself know what your boundaries are, and acting upon them. Ignoring them is what earns people reputations, negative ones more often than not, but in the end you know you've stood by yourself (metaphorically). That's all that matters. As long as you are happy with your life, then no ones got anything on you.

  2. "Reputation" has absolutely ZERO to do with "respect for yourself." Unless you are so shallow that you base all your self-worth on the approval of others.

It's lovely that you have rules. I have little use for them.

  3. i have my own principle and will stick to it no matter what.. people respect me for that and comment me with good characters. i hate those people who are lazy ( said but never go and do ) type of people. i can't say i am a very hardworking person but at least i have responsible what i should respond. indeed cant be bother, lazy about urself.. a total loser. you will gain nothing in the end, i believe that everything comes with an effort.

  4. I think that everyone has a reputations of some sorts - regardless of whether they have self-respect or not.

Even a person who has no self-respect (who's like a dead person, loser..as you said) has a reputation.  Others would seem him as having a reputation of being a loser.

But, I do agree with you - if you are concerned about having a good reputation with others, then it does start with self-respect.  If you respect yourself, then you can build the reputation you want by living up to your own personal standards (rules) as well as those of society.

I also think it's possible to have different reputations in different arenas of life.

That's great to hear that you have personal standards, plans for your future and goals to achieve.  All the best!

  5. Everyone has a reputation - some have good ones, some have not so good ones.  Your reputation follows you, whether you like it or not.  That is why it is good to be careful when you do things, because your actions can have repercussions way beyond what you might think.  That's the challenge in "creating your own rules" as you suggest; because society has rules, too.  As long as you have goals, don't sell yourself short for a guy, and respect yourself, you will be fine.

  6. I have a false reputation of being retarded.

  7. I'm hung like a donkey does that count?

Pretty nifty for a canine don't you think? LOL BBW

  8. I don't believe that the two concepts are mutually exclusive.  You can have a reputation but still respect yourself because you know your limits and what is acceptable to you.  If you have confidence in yourself, you can't worry about what someone else is thinking.  You can keep your secrets to yourself or you can reveal them in the way you choose.

  9. i have respect for myself, because the number 1 person in everyones life is themselves and if u cant respect yourself then people arent gna respect u, simple as that really u agree? bmswlfc90@hotmail.com addy if anyone needs to talk

  10. in this day and age, a reputation refers to choices you made during your life. be it experimentation or personal choice.  everyone somewhere or another has had some sort or "rep".  the real challenge however is using your life's experiences to be a better individual.  setting down goals for ones life is a must.  to do opposite will only end in disappointment.

  11. I think that a reputation is built over a period of time depending on who you deal with in life. You can be the nicest person with the best outlook on life morals and values and depending on who you ask your reputation could be trashed because of where that person is in life so they pass judgement that comes from their own self hate. I did have a reputation, still do in some areas, but my reputation was as a mean person. This was because I didnt talk much, I had a lot on my mind such as how to succeed and make a life I can be proud of so I didnt do a lot of the wild things people my age did so I looked like I was mean or standoffish but meeting those same people later in life and them getting to know me, they realized AND TOLD ME that I am a cool person. It is people's perception of you and I dont much worry about what people think because normally it is formed in thier own mind before you ever speak with them. I do have a standard for people in my life but I have learned that more than likely no one meets ALL those expectations. No one is perfect. Pretty good question.

  12. With my business I have an excellent reputation.

In myself  I have great respect and admiration for what I have achieved, If you want something enough you will do whatever it takes to get it.

I wish you luck in your Journey through Life,

and hope your plans and dreams come true.

  13. Why not? All people are responsive and some of them are really aggressive. You know, why? People want to success and nobody want to lose. That's why people are responsive and if they lose the game of life, they will get angry and behave like a wild animal.

  14. Yeah, im a complete sl@g!

  15. im a loser baby so why dont you kill me?

oh and btw how can you respect yourself when you do that to the English language? im not a grammar n**i but draw a line ffs

  16. Everyone has a reputation.  Even the guy who never goes out of the house or has even done anything wrong has a reputation.

Respect for yourself is totally different than what you have a reputation for.  If you CARE about what others perceive you as, then of course you would have respect for yourself AND respect for others as well.  Life IS a game - a game where there are MANY rules - how well you follow the rules greatly affects your reputation.  Making your OWN rules is NOT one of the rules of the game - that makes you self motivated and has nothing to do with self respect.  Respect for your self and being selfish are two VERY different things.

Sorry, but I am missing the link you are trying to make here.
