Do you have a slogan/motto you live by?

I know a lot of personalities who live life with slogans that they apply to everything: "see everything as a challenge", "do unto others as you do unto yourself", "distractions will not deter me" or "carpe diem seize the day". In a lot of ways, you can tell it shapes who they are because they frequently tote it. Even the religious community will have it ("What would Jesus do?" anyone?).

Do you have something like that? And if so, why is this motto/slogan important to you? I'd also really like to hear from people who DON'T find these slogans/mottos effective.
