  1. no public transportation here

  2. Yes and no.... where I live is outside the city limits... I live about 40 miles outside the main city and it is about 20 miles to the closest bus stop... however, I still ride public transportation, I simply share a ride or carpool to the bus stop or simply carpool.

  3. Yup, have public transportation.  It consists of a small bus operated by the city that will take you to your destination in town, only if you called them in advance & operates m-f 9am-5pm.  There is a couple of taxi services also.   Greyhound stopped its bus service here about 5-10yrs ago.  Otherwise, you have to find a ride with someone or walk to your destination.  I live in a small west central OH town with a population of around 20,000.  Downtown is 1.5mi from my house & Walmart, Krogers, etc. is 3mi away.

  4. There is public transportation via two bus systems, but they run on their own schedule to say the least.  The system is too inefficient, which may be the result of bureaucracy, politics run amok, need for sprawl, and cultural issues.  Don't people realize that one of the best ways to unify a metropolis is through a efficient, and reliable transit network... something that Europe (a continent!!!) has done?

  5. Yes a Taxi that charges $11 for the first 5 miles. SO public tranportation is not economically feasable.

  6. Yeah, there is pretty good bus service, but a bit infrequent at times (like every 20-30 minutes).  There are a couple random light rail lines as well.

  7. Yes, I can walk(1 mile) to the train station from my house and then walk to work(1/2 mile) from the train station. I figure the walk will do me good and it costs $1.25 one way so it is going to cost me $12.50 a week to ride the train. When I drive, it is 18 miles each way, so 36 miles if I drive. My truck gets about 12 or 13 M.P.G., so gas is just about $4.00 a gallon, so I am going to save quite a bit of money, plus I might meet someone on the train and fall in love, so I am looking forward to riding the train.

  8. I have access to busses into the town centre, which is a few miles away.  There are many stops near to me, the closest being a 1 min walk away.  The buses should run every 12 mins, but in reality they do not.  They sometimes come early, or late and occasionally not at all.  In the town centre there are lots of diffrent busses that will take you to other areas of the town or places out of town, most of these busses are not so reliable either.

Theres also a train station in the town centre that I use.  The trains are mostly reliable.  If they are going to be late or there are changes anywhere, then at least you get a bit of prior warning with announcements and stuff.

  9. No I would have to drive most of the way where I'm going to catch a bus and pay to park so i just drive where I'm going

  10. yes its good since I live in Los Angeles

and its usually reliable (most of the time that is)
