  1. Try putting together a family scrapbook, with lots of glittery stuff, stickers, and such. Not only will you get a really pleasing scrapbook from it, but you will also have good quality time with your kids, and learn a lot about your family in the process. Get your kids a cheap disposible camera and let them have a go at photography. You would be very surprised at what kids see through a lens. Try getting cheap corkboards and decorationg them with paints and rubber stamps, and hang them on their bedroom doors or on their bedroom walls, and go a step further and buy cheap waste-paper baskets and picture frames and decorate those to make a set. Get some cheap white t-shirts and paint/glitter/tye-dye them. Sidewalk chalk is great fun and washes completely away. Get some votive candles and glue jewels on them, or go the nature route and glue pebbles and leaves and such on them. Decorate a couple of clay pots, and then plant herbs. The kids will have a ball caring for them, and you will also have the benefit of cooking with the finished product. Just be careful if you plant basil, it will very quickly outgrow it's pot. Get a book on beginner origami and learn how to make paper cranes and other easy things. I hope some of my ideas work for you.   :)

  2. when i was a kid i used to LOVE to get different colored sands and pour it into different shaped jars (shaped like animals, trees, flowers) and they'd come out so awesome.

also, you can find recipes online to make playdoh out of a peanut butter mix that is also edible.

anything involving dry macaroni and glitter is always fun...pasting them onto a piece of construction paper making shapes or animals...

ALSOOO i used to LOVE making little bird houses out of cardboard milk cartons..cut a lil hole into em, hang em up in a tree and put a little ball of rolled up peanut butter dipped in bird seed..

just be creative! hope i could be a help to you.

  3. U can try cutting out picture that your children find interestin to them out of old magazines and have them make a book or posterboard with all the pics they enjoy.  Or you can try goin for walk and letting the kids gather as many kinds of leaves as they can find a make a book out of them and name them.  U can also try making musical instruments from household items.  Take empty cereal boxes tape and rubber bands and u can construct a guitar, or take empy cans and fill them with rice or other types of noise makers and u have a tamborine.  I hope this helps.
