  1. Pay attention!!! Many young people are busy doing other things. Rule 1 DRIVE THE CAR!!!

  2. THIS IS VERY IMPORTANT!!!!

YOU HAVE TO START BRAKING SOONER ON HILLS.

AS WELL YOU SHOULD ALWAYS HAVE AT LEAST A CAR LENGTH WITH THE VEHICLE IN FRONT OF YOU.

NEVER USE CELL PHONE WHILE DRIVING.  YOU WOULD BE SURPRISED AT ALL THE ACCIDENTS THAT OCCUR LIKE THAT..

FRONT WHEEL DRIVE OR ALL WHEEL RULES.

SLOWLY AND GRADUALLY DEVELOP YOUR ABILITY TO COMFORTABLY MAKE HEADWAY ON THE HIGHWAYS AND YOU MUST HAVE A GOOD CD SELECTION.  I HAVE A RADIO THAT MSOURCES A TON OF MUSIC AND HAS IT ON FLASH MEMORY.

ALWAYS HAVE A COMPACT SNOW SHOVEL IN CASE YOU GET STUCK SOMEWHERE.

NEVER PASS A TRUCK ON THE HIGHWAY DURING A CURVE... REALLY SCARY STUFF IF THAT ROAD IS ICY

  3. Pay attention to what's around you.  Maintain a zone around your car, where you know everything that goes on.  Watch for unusual movement in the mirrors with your peripheral vision, and actually check them often.  Watch for people turning onto your street, and people on on-ramps.  Once you conquer that, then you can move on to other things that take your concentration too, like signs and speed.

  4. watch the signsss

  5. Drive safe, dont speed, dont drink and listen to your parents.

  6. First if your getting a driving permit, its always good to read a driving manual that you can get from the department of transportation. you may not want to read it, but the test you take to get your permit covers pretty much everything in that manual.

If your just starting out driving go to a big parking lot or somewhere where it is not crowded and just start practicing with an experienced driver.

Driving is easy, starting out is a little rough, but eventually driving will come to you naturally like walking

  7. Take driver's ed.  Never drink and drive.  Always keep a safe distance between you and other drivers.  Always wear your seatbelt.  Please.

  8. yes, practice, practice, practice.  Get as many driving hours under your belt as possible.  Always be wary of what is going on around you, whilst concentrating on what you are doing at the same time!
