  1. I agree with Cheri - Wilbur Smith. Some of the greatest adventure novels written have his name in the author spot. I read them in Canada before I ever went to Africa and loved them ; then I reread them after I had been to some of the places he writes about and loved them even more. The kind of book I will read right through the night because I can't put them down.

John Ronald Reuel Tolkien - Lord of the Rings - A series of books that are fantasy and adventure. The books are older but the subject never gets old.

Robert Anson Heinlein - Stranger in a Strange Land - Science fiction/fantasy. I'm not big on Science Fiction but I could not put this one down either.

Karen Marie Moning - Any of the Highlander series - Romance adventure and fantasy. A Good Read.

    Hope this helps

  2. I like Wilbur Smith, he writes about Africa, if you like romance Danielle Steele, thrillers and weird books Stephen King or Dean R Koontz, i also like the Readers digest Condensed books, there is 4 stories and it's all different themes, and if you like Afrikaans books Ena Murray and Sarah du Pisanie

  3. Spud by John Van De Ruit is a great book. Its about a boy, Spud, going to an all boys school and what its like. Its set in 1990 at Michaelhouse. Its very funny. I think hes 14 in the book though. Everyone i know loves the book.  Its got adventure, romance, drama, everything

  4. Ron Paul: Revolution a manifesto

It describes the government the way it should run and provides factual examples of why and why not to do things a certain way.

  5. Try Ken Follett - Pillars of the Earth.

It's a romantic action-packed dramatic medieval novel (rated as the best and most accurate), that is  that has kids from birth to ... well, death.

It follows the life of a master-builder (Jack) who has to raise his kids and step-kids.  And shows the lives of the people surrounding them.

I don't like reading much and it is a thick book but I started it (I don't know why) and long as it may be, was finished quickly and is one of the greatest stories of all times.  REALLY well worth the read, you won't be sorry.
