I made salmon for dinner tonight and have about 1/2 to 3/4 of a pound left over, do you have any good ideas or recipes I could make with this left over salmon? Maybe salmon spread or something like that?

Thank you.

  1. use your fresh salmon instead of the canned....just break it up and fold it in

    1 tall can salmon

1 (8 oz.) pkg. cream cheese

    1 tsp. horseradish

    1 tsp. lemon juice

    Dash salt

    Dash of seasoning salt

    2 tsp. grated onion

Mix together and make into ball. Use this spread on any crackers

  2. Heat it up, put a a bit of honey on it. and make this sauce with it

Honey mustard mixed with 1/4 cup of reg. dijon, a tsp of parsley, a tsp of pepper, some lemon juice just 2 small squirts, and white onions finely chopped to go with it!

  3. mix some mayonaise with chopped green onion and smoothen it over the salmon (both sides) place on tin foil and put some portugese sausages (sliced) along the edge and bake for 5- 10 mintues on each side.

  4. Salmon loaf. Sounds not so great, but it is out of this world if you season it. Can be made with canned or fresh salmon.

Just make it like meatloaf- add an egg, a few Tbsp of breadcrumbs, splash of milk if you get it too dry, some dried Parsley, onion and garlic powder. Even a squirt of mustard if you'd like.

Then mix it all up with your hands, and form into a loaf on a greased pan. Bake at 350 until center is cooked through and all is warm (you basically want to set the egg and heat through, as the salmon is cooked already). Great with potatoes, and maybe grilled veggies or green salad. Enjoy!
