Do you have any ideas for a romantic dinner for two?

I would like to cook something romantic for my new boyfriend. I am on a low fat diet, so something low fat please. He does not eat food that tastes like it is low fat. I am also not a very good cook. So if you know something simple with few ingredients it would be appreciated.

  1. Bake a whole chicken....its simple and you could eat skinless meat which would be lower fat, while he could be satisfied with a nice hunk of chicken with skin on....Buy a 5lb. roaster chicken, clean it, take out the neck and gizzard, heart and liver (usually wrapped up in a package inside the chicken) salt and pepper or lemon pepper or squeeze a fresh lemon over the bird, put the lemon inside the cavity....Or make some stove top chicken stuffing (In the bird recipe is on the box) and use it to stuff the chicken...bake for about 2-2 1/2 hours to get it well done; You can buy some good quality chicken gravy from the food store, they're decent and easy; heat that up and serve. Add some sort of veggie that you both like....those steam in veggie bags are quick easy and taste good...you can add butter on his and eat yours plain (for low fat); or a nice green salad.....Make brownies for desert and maybe add a scoop of vanilla ice cream on to the brownies...(Add some slivered almonds and some shredded coconut to the brownie mix and you have wonderful almond joy brownies...very very good!!)

  2. Spaghetti Sauce

    1 pound lean ground chuck

    1 pound medium onion, chopped

2 to 3 tablespoons chopped green bell pepper

    1/2 stick celery, finely chopped

    1/2 teaspoon oregano flakes

1 teaspoon diet margarine (optional for richer taste)

Salt to taste (or no salt at all if on a no salt diet)

    Pepper to taste

    Garlic (optional)

    1 1/2 cups water

Add 1 cup of water to saucepan. Place ground chuck into saucepan and boil meat until water has evaporated down to below the meat level. Pour meat into colander and drain off fat. Rinse out saucepan and place meat back into it. (For less fat, follow this procedure again.)

In a medium frying pan, combine onions, bell pepper, celery and remaining 1/2 cup of water. Bring this to a boil and simmer until water has evaporated and ingredients have begun to sizzle slightly. Stir and add to meat mixture. Add finely chopped tomatoes, oregano flakes, margarine, salt, pepper and garlic. Bring to a boil, then turn down low and cook for 1 1/2 hours, stirring occasionally.

This recipe can be used as a low-fat lasagna base, using low-fat cheese and lasagna noodles. Dot lightly with diet margarine

  3. Well,

Below is a site all low fat easy recipes take a look and see what you like. Cause i can simply put a recipe down here but what if it's something you don't like or are allergic to? So Good recipes one of my favourite sites right down there.

  4. You can marinate a London Broil overnight (Lawry's makes good marinades) and then BBQ it;  slice across the grain (London Broil is a very lean cut of beef).   Serve with baked potatoes (you can use fake butter, non-fat sour cream on yours) ... fresh green mixed salad (again, use a low-fat salad dressing on yours) ..... Angel Food cake with non-fat Cool Whip and sliced strawberries.
