  1. Play games with them  kids are easily amused shouldn't be to hard

  2. Sculpy, you can make beads, to make your own necklaces, or figurines, it's a clay type that cooks in a toaster oven or oven and isn't harmful at all, my baby sisters loved it   also becoming news-reporters, playing a role where you investigate and create your own paper, with comics, news flashes, and commentaries,    or   there's always card games, but this day of technology try and stay away from TV, perhaps baking a cake, cookies, a cake is great you can decorate it so much!!!

    good luck big hugs

  3. ok i have this same problem I'm 16 and in july i will have a 2 year old and a nine year old i can drive but i dont want to go anywhere alone with them when i had them last week for a test run we went to the park walked to restaurants played in the mc donalds play place just have fun do arts and crafts and things we also played like the wii and things and had nap time it was fun just plan out your day a head of time

  4. I always bought water toys like water guns and water balloons which turned out great. You can do some cooking which everyone enjoys. Computer and tv games like wii, xbox, ect is a great entertainment and even taking walks can be enjoyed sometimes (not really for kids)

  5. I second the Sculpey idea - it's a lot of fun.  Along those same lines are Shrinky Dinks.  The craft store is a great place to find some inexpensive kits.  Klutz books are great as they provide all the instructions and materials.  Our craft stores here run coupons in the paper every week for 40% off one item, so you can save$.

I don't know what type of girl this is or if you like to read aloud, but my daughter loved the Little House books by Laura Ingalls Wilder which we read aloud together(taking the different "roles").  There are tons of great children's series out now.  A trip to the library to let her choose and then you can spend a certain amount of time on that per day.

Also, my daughter absolutely loved to help bake at that age: cookies, brownies, cupcakes, whatever.  Cupcakes are fun to decorate too.

  6. Sprinkle, blow up pool, hide and go seek, treasure hunt, play with a pet, watch some tv,go jogging together, play some vollyball, soccer, baseball, whatever sport she likes. Let her hang with some friends or buy herslef. Go bike rding round the neighboorhood. Hope this helped!

  7. play in the hose, it's a timeless classic, just make sure she's clean b4 her rents get home, also paint with her, just finger or the cheap walmart kind or watercolors. Make up dances! I don't know a girl that doesn't love making em up just for fun to "cool" songs.

  8. My grand daughter is way into board games. Sorry, Trouble, uno, checkers, etc. Are you in a comlex with a pool for swimming?

You can have a spa day, just you two. Hair, nails, toes. thats fun. Lots of moms have left over make up and fake jewels for the kids. There are several virtul design sites where you can prepare fasions and shop. if there is a pool it could save you 4 or 5 hours a day of having to entertein. what a blessing there huh? Is there a covered picnic area you have lunch a couple times a week?

Go to the $ store and stock up on sand art and beaded jewlery. Good Luck, ask again if this does't help.
