details (reading them is optional =P)

I've been working as a volunteer at my local library for the past 2 or 3 years, and I really really enjoy it. The problem is the only need me once a week for an hour, and I have a lot more time than that, so I'm looking for other places to volunteer.

Do you have any ideas? I've tried our food bank, and tehy don't want anyone under 18 (i'm 15 in october), and our humane society is to far for me to drive after school.

*note- I'm not doing this for hours, or college scholarships, I'm doing it cause I love to help people

So basically, any volunteering ideas?

Thx!

  1. You should try your local hospital, Salvation Army post, your church. You should check with your city or even the mayor regarding what activities are coming up for your town and see if they need as extra hand. Good luck. The world needs a lot more young people like your self.

  2. maybe a homeless shelter or a veteran's hospital, perhaps a boys and girls club

  3. Soup kitchens, political campaigns, pounds, churches, etc.

  4. how about at the hospital. you can really help people..

  5. If you love to help people you might want to become one of Jehovah's Witnesses and volunteer your time to help people learn how to draw close to God, secure a hope for the future, improve life by following Bible principles.  Either that or volunteer at a school helping kids learn to read.  Both these things satisfied my desire to help people.

  6. Church or any nursing homes. Or at a children's ward in a hospital.

  7. Try this website...

You can scroll through a list of opportunities in your area.
