Do you have any strange rituals during rainy weather?

For some strange reason, when I was a child, my mother always made popcorn when it was raining, especially during a thunderstorm!

Here in Britain there are some strange rain rituals - one of the biggest has just passed - it's called "Glastonbury" or if you prefer, "Glasto".  Only rain-makers are allowed to wallow at this all damp British Mud Fest.

My own recollections of past Summer suggest that if it rains more than twice during Glasto and Wimbledon, then it will probably rain more than twice against later on before the end of Summer.  Problem is, there is just no way to predict how long the next two rains will last.  This present gust has been going now for about 6 days - they usually gust for about 10 days then then subside for a while then back again.

The Jet Stream is too far south again this year and if it stays where it is, we ain't gonna get no summer here in England.

I was in Paris a couple of weeks ago and standing outside Notre Dam there's a temperature thing which read 36C - by reckoning that's about 102 farnheit - phew!  Good job I was wearing my Maurice Chevalier boater hat. Hmmm!

I actually go for a walk and try to get soaked, like in movies the movie stars get absolutely soaked in the rain.  I try to see if I can get that look.

If I get caught in it and happen to have an Umbrella I don't use it unless I have somewhere to be where I shouldn't be wet.

When we were young and it rained we'd play man hunt or hide and seek in the neighborhood lol

I just stay in allday and put the fire on and chill out. My mum used to send me the shops in all weathers so my guess youve been spoiled.

Yes a good long soak in the bath during a thunderstorm, run out before the rain starts to catch it in butts, buckets and whatever for future watering of the garden.

Yes I cant resist going out into the garden and doing my sunshine dance, this has to be performed whilst naked of course!

                             It has never actually worked yet because my nosey neighbours keep calling the police, they take me away before I can finish the ritual,.   So  this present wet summer in the UK , I put down to the British police, and my neighbours!
