I need to go back to work, and at least need to be out about 6 hours, so I need to store some breast-milk and let my mom to use bottle to feed my baby. Does any one know any good tips about how to get a 4 months baby to be used to bottle-feeding. I tried several times, but it seems hard. He cried a lot. Also, I tried different teats and bottles.

  1. You don't have to use a bottle, your caregiver with some patience can use a cup. do some research about this and it makes sense.  a simple regular cup is all you need and breastfed babies seem to adapt better to it. good luck

  2. why dont breastfeeding moms just put their milk in bottles to begin with? i never understood that. it would just make the transition so much easier for the kid. such problems.

  3. Don't try it yourself. He will likely not take a bottle from you at all. My son will not take a bottle from me at all and not from anyone else if he is in our house. He does fine if someone else does it at there own house though.

I have had the best luck with the playtex drop ins with a latex nipple, wide neck.

Try leaving him with your mom at her house and go out to dinner or something as a test run.

I hate to say it but some babies are never into taking a bottle, my mom couldn't get any of us to do it.
