I an going to become a ovo-vegetarian because of animals. Do you have any tip? I have been a vegetarian for about 6 weeks. Are there any breads that I can eat? Crackers?

Thanks a lot.

  1. The ingredients in bread will sometimes vary by region. So check the ingredients for any milk products before you buy them. Or go to a health food store and ask them for vegan or ovo-veg bread.

Learn to cook as much of your own food as possible. If you cook it, you know for a fact there is no dairy in it. Google recipes and try new things as much as you can.

Don't eat too many eggs or egg products. Remember they do have a lot of cholesterol. One or 2 eggs a day is enough.

Try soy, rice, almond, and hemp milks. Get green leafy vegetables. You want to make sure you get enough calcium!

  2. you can do it for many  reasons but the best reason is for your own health. animals are precious and need love and care but not eating meat need to be persoanlly a personal health issue,

here is a few things that can help

crackers there is a jewish cracker that is wonderful made with eggs instead of regular crackers not sure of the spelling but they are called matzo crackers and they are wonderful eating.

pita bread and falt breads usually do not have milk and if you read the ingredents most do not use animal ingredents

    cheeses

here is a wonderful alternative cheese i have used for many yearsl

Mac and cheese alternative for pizzas also

    1 cup water

    1 cup cashews raw

1/2 tsp salt or smoke seasoned salt

    1/4 cup oil

    1/3 cup lemon juice

4 ounces of pimentos in jar undrained (or if you like and this is my preference 1 - 2 tsp paprika non hot style.)

    1 tsp onion powder

    1/2 tsp garlic powder

    1 tsp salt

    3 tab nutritional yeast flakes

    1 tab corn starch

blend till smooth. pour over pasta and bake

or put in a pot and cook till thick

pour over pizza or pasta or use instead of cheese in lazagna and bake it is wonderful not the flavor of cheese but it is a wonderful pimento cheese sauce for vegetables also.

as for milk you can use a soy milk or almond milk but almond milk needs to be homemade because of fat content is wonderful 2 cups water and 3/4 cup almonds blend till smooth,

add 1/2 tsp vanilla that is optional and 1/4 tsp or less of salt but you will need a few grains to make it better flavor. that is wonderful.
