Do you have any tips for removing a shower head ?

I have only 1 wrench : ( and the shower head is on so tight it just slips. I tried using a damp washcloth under the clamp but that did not work. I thought maybe a piece of thin rubber but can't find anything in my house.

Any tips to get a grip on this thing and get it off ?

  1. Been there before.  I know you have just one wrench, but it sometimes takes two.  I had to use vise grips on the pipe and the wrench on the head.  Keep the pipe section steady so as not to cause any problems where it connects within the wall.  Spray a little WD40 (if you have some) arounf the edge of any exposed threads, wait 5 minutes and try again.  Do you have one of those round rubber things that people get to remove jars lids?  Maybe that would help you hold on.  Or the rubber non-slip liner used in drawers or car cup holders, etc.  just a thought.

    Good luck.

  2. unscrew it and use teflon tape
