You have posted a lot of messages today with the same Details advertising your group.  Did you know this is against YA Community Guidelines and can cause your account to be deleted if someone reports you?  I won't report you but somebody else might ;)

There are Yahoo Groups whose main purpose if to allow group owners to advertise/promote their groups.  You should try one of them.  Some of those groups have thousands of members - you probably would get a lot of new members this way.  Here's one that has over 3000 members:  http://tech.groups.yahoo.com/group/Group...

cool it was nice of you to let everyone know.

I used to use freecycle but ended up with a load of old junk that wasnt quite what it was described as!!

I go on yahoo freecycle, it's local to your area and you just offer things for free and someone will come and pick it up, you can also make requests for some things.
