  2. They are great!  Historically the cycle of cities are people love them, trash them, leave them, then insightful people repair them, people move back and love them again!

  3. Some problems with walking in an urban environment:

    Weather

    Vulnerability to street crime

    Carrying cargo

    Health limitations

    Traffic

    Distance

    Lack of Privacy
