Do you have children who graduated with a IEP Diploma? If so, what future did they have after high school?

lol no iep diploma just a diploma. my dd did but she has two severe disabilities. she did work for two years in a work activity center. it all depends on the childs' abilities.

they are not all the same.  go to www.dol.gov or www.disabilityinfo.gov to find more info and if they cannot work they can apply for ssi now. www.ssa.gov

I am the mom of two special needs kids. One is graduating high school this year. Futures are what the kids try to make them and are limited by their ability level, resources they access, and acceptance by employers/colleges. My eldest is going through OVR and going to technical school. My other son is in 10th grade but has a definate career plan to open his own bakery. Both are doing quite well. There are many programs out there for kids with IEP's, you just have to go after them.

I have an IEP, but I'm in tenth grade....
