Its one of our hardest tasks. Trains, cars, boats excetra have all been made to work on electricity or renewable energy, but one of the most famous sources of travel, air, is by far, the most difficult to make clean. Do you reckon we can do it, honestly?

Thanks.

  1. Like any of the other transportation industries, it has to be cost effective for them to make changes.  But I do think it is possible.  Now we need some young scientists to start working on this project!

  2. We did it once we can do it once again

We began with basic steam machines  made from nothing now that we know more than before (let say 1880 years ) we can improve all for new things

  3. Wrong question. It is already being cleaned up by plants.

Plants take in CO2 and the plant gives us the O2, but keeps the C as food for the plant. When  the plant leaves die ,they will deteriorate and release the C . The C is a major part in producing fossil fuel. There for we will never run out of fossil fuels.

  4. there are already projects underway to reduce emissions from jet exhaust. there is a company in north carolina that is addressing the problem, and making jet fuel from used cooking oil. surprised? dont be, jet engnes can burn many different kinds of fuel. the airlines however need a fuel that will be economical to use though. it has to be inexpensive, and it has to be able to get at least the same economy as the current crop of jet fuel.

  5. I think it's a honest possibility, but I know the Airlines are all about money so what would it cost them? I know planes right now could be safer for passengers but they aren't because the airline industry sees flyers as a price tag.

I would love to see a plane that runs cleanly, though. Someone will do it.

  6. Sure. There's a private plane out there NOW that runs on ethanol, and chemists are presently working on a way to make biodiesel viable as jet fuel.
