My husband is a fraternal twin.  While you can see the family resemblance, they look nothing alike.  He looks like his father - his sister looks like his mother.

I am a fraternal twin, my brother and i look nothing alike. I am very pale, and shortish, and overweight. And he is Olive skinned, and tall and skinny.

Though, in high school, there were some boy/girl twins who looked very similar to each other. I think it has more to do with the family genes than the fact that they're twins. My second cousin looks exactly like my brother did when he was that age.
