  1. Yes. I am 45.  Wife and two kids are covered.

    Family coverage.

PPO Health with a $500 ded $20.00 office co-pay and the ability to self refer.

    PPO dental $50.00 ded

    VSP

    Life ins

    AD&D

    Short Term/Long Term disability

I pay $175.00 per month.  My company picks up the rest.

  2. Yes.  I pay for it.  $312 per month.  It is an HMO, so no deductible, but I have some co-pays and coverage limits.  Age 63 and I am retired.

  3. I do, but as I'm not a full-time employee I pay a whopping $180 a month for it.

  4. Yes I have health insurance.  But we can't stand it.

Once upon a time I had CIGMA health insurance and everything was great.  We paid $290 a month after my company's contributions for me, my wife, and our two twin daughters.  We had $20 co-pays and we could pick virtually any doctor we wanted.

Now I work for a better company with worse insurance.  Now we have Kaiser Permantente and pay over $400 a month now, and need docotors rerferals that take over a month just to see a specialist.  Our co-pays are less, but we have no freedom to pick the doctor we want.

As frustrating as it is, it's still beats not having ANY health insurance.  So for those of you complaining about the rising costs, how come you have money for Ipods, Itunes, Iphones, and Hannah Montana tickets but you don't have enough money to pay for health insurance for your family?

  5. I pay 674.21 a month and I have 1000.00 deductible

    15.00 co-pay and 15.00 prescription co-pay

    BlueCross and Blue Shield

    It's highway robbery

And by the way, this is what I pay for just myself.

  6. I pay over $300 per month for coverage that is pretty crappy (for my whole family).

The limit which doctors I can see by saying I have to pay a higher rate for "out of network" care. The problem is that the only way a doctor can become "in network" for my company is to agree to perform their services as drastically reduced prices.

Good doctors are able to fill their schedule with patients who can afford to pay full price or who have insurance that will pay higher prices, so they won't accept my insurance at a discounted price. The only doctors who will accept the discounted rates are the ones with less experience or poor service, who have trouble getting patients to return for future care and refer their friends.

  7. No, but that doesn't mean I want the government to buy some for me.

  8. do not have health insurance of any kind but figure i can do as the illegals and do my part to bankrupt what health care there is to be had

  9. no, why? you offering?

  10. Yes.  Nothing - my company pays, and will continue to pay, until corporate taxes are increased.

  11. I do have the insurance that I wish I had. This seems to be one of the critical problems today. I do not see socialized medical insurance as a solution. Just see what Canadian insurance does for their citizens which monthly waits. I hope we can do better than that.

  12. Yes, $450/month for the family, no deductible..

  13. Yes, I am 61 and retired military and have Tri-Care Prime.  Monthly premiums are $20 and co-pays are $20 doctor visit, $3 RX by mail.  And my Democrat drug addict sister (on SSI "mental" disability with Medicaid and never worked an honest day's work in her life) resents it.

  14. Yes through my employer. I pay about $60/mo and if you ask me I'm just throwing that money away. I went to get a lymph node looked at once and it still cost me a $100 deductible! WTF AM I PAYING PREMIUMS FOR.

Edit: Ok all the more reason that the health insurance industry is nothing more than a raquet and a scam. I've been at my job for 2.5 years now so 60*30 = $1800... gone. Lining the pockets of BCBS stockholders. I try not to think about it it just makes me angry.
