Hello,

Does anyone else have issues with there invisaligns not being tight on them like they are when you first switch over to a new tray. It seems like the first day it is tight but after that it isn't as tight b/c it they are easier to remove and you just don't feel the tightness. I'm not sure if that is normal or mine are defective..

  1. Invisalign users have to remove them before having anything. It can be one of the reasons for you to feel they are not tight. Every time you eat, you have to remove and in this process, they sometimes become loose and you don’t feel the same tight effect.  It is normal for the new users. Very soon, you will get use to it.

Still in doubts, just read this article, it will help you. Thanks and stop worrying.

  2. I have read somewhere that the invisalign trays should feel tight the first couple of days due to the pressure caused by your teeth moving into a new position.  Once the teeth are moved, the pressure should go away.  The reason you keep the trays in for 2 weeks is to allow the teeth to heal into their new position then it is time for your new set of trays, which is when you will begin to feel pressure again due to the teeth moving.
