How would you feel about a website that allows you to vote on the basis of your political opinions, eg on the environment, taxation, immigration, crime and punishment, the European Union, and anything else controversial?

In principle it sounds a good idea, but it could be abused.   Many people have multiple email addresses, while others have no access to or desire to use computer equipment.   This would mean that people who are internet users would have an unfair advantage over those who are not.

However, I would like to see a way in which we could all vote on individual issues, as I believe that political parties are all corrupt in one way or another.   Once in, they change their policies, and very seldom do any of them keep their campaign promises.

Votes for the people - I'm in favour.

I do not agree with things like this, it is a good idea for people to give their opinions but should not be used for oficial votes. It would not take long for people to find a way to cheat the system meaning that it is not a genuine vote.

no...we have people voting here now that cant figure out how to touch a screen for the correct person running...why do you want to confuse the poor devils further?..what you propose would only benefit about 10 % of the US population..the rest would just push what some pollwatcher told them to push...forget it

we have blogs already...we have lots of journalists, talk show hosts on tv and radio....that's enough, don't you think?  Who needs ANOTHER website on opinions.  And, surveys don't work either (they mean nothing).  Frankly I think there is enough flaming out there already.  People could interest themselves in something more meaningful, like community work.
