I babysit a lot and help out at camps. I was wondering if you have any ideas for projects for kids ages 3-5 that they can then take home?

  1. Make hand foot prints with paint

    self portraits

    pasta necklace

    glitter pictures

    clay sculptures

trace their bodies on butchers paper and have them draw their clothes and face on the bodie outline

  2. I was given this website probably from another answerer awhile ago.  I've been doing an activity about every other day from it, they are simple and I usually have most of the stuff on hand.

Also, you could do some cooking with that age.  Premade mini cakes that they can decorate with candies or other fun edible things.  Sugar Cookies, Bagel Pizzas.  My daughter has been in a toddler cooking class and really likes it.

  3. Egg carton cattapillars ...glue feathers, glitter paint, buttons , seeds, shells ...whatever, they love them or.. Plant a seed in a recycled milk/juice/yogurt container..decorate that too

collect leaves ..have them pick pretty ones to use ..place between 2 sheets of wax paper and you iron it sealed ..hang on a sunny window

ya got natures stained glass art ..but its wax paper

  4. I would suggest finger painting. My niece and nephew love that. Or you could get some crayons and have them draw a picture with them and take it home to show their parents. That is always a good project for kids. Or you could even teach them to make things like if you know origami, teach them what you know. Believe it or not, Kids have a very high learning rate at that age. Well at least most kids.
