I just started playing beach volleyball. Why it is so hard to jump in the sand? Do you have some tips? Some people said that we must get "sand leg". How to get the sand leg? Thanks before for your answer...

  1. Heres a tip:

Since it takes awhile to get your sand legs, remember to do more roll shots and place the ball more. Since you are not used to the sand yet, you will be hitting into the net a lot if you try to approach and spike everything.

P.S. Pass well, you can't win with poor passing in beach doubles.

  2. I use the sand to help my jump. Let yourself sink in to about your ankle (or Less) and then push up with your legs. This is done by squatting down and springing up to reach the sky. I play indoor and beach; i usually jump higher in beach volleyball.

  3. jus ondition jumping in he sand its harder because the sand isnt solid so if you practice jumping, then you will get a higher vertical

  4. I also just started beach volleyball this year, and you just have to use repetition to get "sand leg". At first you can barely get off the sand but as you get more used to it, it gets easier. It also really helps you jump higher indoors and run faster on more solid ground.
