We need Beginning Algebra-Fifth Edition by Munem and Patterns for a purpose-Fifth Edition by Clouse.

These would be for my daughter who has finally decided to take the plunge back to school. I'm so proud of her!

Anyhow, she needs these books and she hasn't been able to find them online or off for a price she can afford. I told her I would check and see if anyone on Yahoo Answers has them and are willing to part with them for a fair price. Let me know if you do and how much you would want for them. You can email me your price if you'd like.

Thank you!!!

  1. First off -yes, you should be so proud of her -and yourself as her mom!  There is nothing quite like a college education -for all the obvious reasons and then some reasons that typically don't show up on the priority list.

No matter what happens in your search for this Algebra textbook, do not purchase it full price!  Textbooks are a large expense and, in my view (I'm a college instructor and once was a college administrator), are truly not worth the dollars students have to spend on the books -especially the "new" ones.

As such, you're doing the "right thing" by posting here (unfortunately, I do not have that particular textbook).  Next, check the bookstore of the college/university your daughter is attending ... at a minimum, the bookstore typically will resell used texts for about half the cost of the original.

In addition, check the web sites I've posted below ... often you can find what you need (textbooks) for even less than half price. One of the links below is specifically for used Math textbooks.

Good luck in your search for the textbook -and good luck to your daughter!
